The number of followers I have remains pretty constant (and I think you’re all lovely for finding me in any way amusing or entertaining). However, over the last week, I have lost followers immediately after posts about The Professionals and the passing of Lewis Collins.
To those people I say, sod off.
Which is kind of pointless, because it’s not like they’ll be seeing my post. Still, it makes me feel better.
Thank you. As you were.
Now, I love Benedict Cumberbatch as much as the next sentient being, but the general level of giddiness caused by this smoking jacket ensemble leaves me bemused.
I’m reminded of something my late grandmother used to say about celebrity: that a celebrity could put a dab of excrement on their forehead and people would say how clever they were. Granted, it sounded better in the original Armenian, but the sentiment works for me.
Is it wrong for me to be curious about what Joan, George, Giuliana and Kelly would say about this outfit? My money is on the verdict being that the jacket isn’t fitted properly, exacerbated by the waistcoat. I don’t know what to think about the velvet shoes…
So much wonderful in this picture.
We lost the marvellous Gordon Jackson in 1990 and Lewis Collins only last week. Loved…love…them both and appreciate them always.
I don’t know if someone posted this. Maybe i missed it (You know there is so many posts today) but i would like to post it anyway. I noticed the gift The Killers Peru gave it in 2009 during their visit in Lima for the Day and Age tour. I’m not peruvian but i remember that moment! That was a fantastic job. And i feel proud for them as Southamerican victim! It’s nice to see this thing on the video. Very emotional to peruvian fans i would say. They have it and they put it on the video. How sweet is that? Something more to confirm this video is only dedicated for us, The Victims?
yes! we were talking about this earlier, but I didn’t have the close up photo, thanks for sharing!
So much skill, love and wit in this. It well deserves its place in a such a seminal piece of Killers history. Kudos to the guys who made it.
I want to be Supreme Commander, like Servalan, but maybe with less evil and killing and stuff.
I’m sure there’s an optimum amount of evil and killing which still gets the job done. Not sure I’d be able to wear those awesome outfits with anywhere near the same elan, though.
