It was always on the cards, but yesterday the BBC confirmed a fourth series of Sherlock was going ahead, with a Christmas special in 2015.
Series 1 was outstanding. Witty and innovative, it was the sort of thing that gives you goosebumps just thinking about it.
Series 2 was good - though Irene Adler as a prostitute relying on her sexuality (and male assistance) rather than her wit and integrity still doesn’t sit well with me.
Series 3 was self conscious and indulgent fanfic. I could just about have forgiven that if the story lines weren’t so horribly contrived (and derivative to boot). With so much excellent source material, there was really no excuse for what Messrs Gatiss and Moffat came up with, especially after such a long lead in time.
So, the question is, are we going to get more of the same? And, if so, which “same” will it be?
And then I said,”summarise the Categorical Imperative in a paragraph; I just Kant”, and we all fell about laughing. Really, you should have been there.
Yes, I know I’m reblogging my own post, but it was freaking brilliant. Come on, you know it’s true. It had everything…backstory…humour…great picture…
One of my finest moments, and it just didn’t get the love it deserved.
Full of wonderful - and wonderfully pointless - things. Though, frankly, I’d love to have Robot from Lost in Space (“Danger Will Robinson, danger”).
I wonder if Dave Keuning knows about #34?
I may have found the reason for my fondness of blue t-shirts.
I’ll just leave these here.
This may be more than thirty years old, but they’re looking pretty darn good. Yowzah!
